We’re head-over-heels for Solar Panels, which provide an efficient and reliable way to harness the power of the sun and allow our customers to generate their own clean energy.

In our Sales & Support team you’ll know loads about energy, delivering great customer service to those with questions, doubts or an interest in generating their own green energy. You’ll be supporting customs with a passion for our mission whilst growing your career with us.

We’re looking for people who can join us on the front line, supporting customers with a passion for our mission and growing their career with us. 

What you’ll do
Our smart energy and low carbon heating solutions mean our customers can enjoy clean, green and cosy homes. As a customer support specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting customers once the sale of Solar Panels or Air Source Heat Pumps have closed. All our customers are passionate and excited for their green energy technology, so it’s your job to keep that excitement up. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting the post-sales process by being the go-to-person for your customers, generating handover documents, booking installations, and loads more 
  • Collaborate with survey and installation teams and third party suppliers to make the Solar and Air Source Heat Pump magic happen 
  • Staying on top of all admin to ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience for our customers 
  • Become an expert in our tech with real ownership in the navigation of the installation journey and all its excitement 
  • Be a real advocate for the technology that we are excited to launch across the UK and beyond! 


What you’ll need

We’re looking for people who can join us on the front line, supporting customers with a passion for our mission and growing their career with us. Other qualities we’d love to see include: 

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time and workload effectively   
  • A love of dynamic and active office environments, being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business  
  • Exceptional communication, ensuring customers feel good about each and every conversation and are excited during their installation  
  • A solution focused approach and positive outlook 
  • Empathy and understanding to help make the right decisions when it comes to customer experience 
  • A love of taking on new tasks and challenges to develop and grow within your role

What you’ll do
Our smart energy and low carbon heating solutions mean our customers can enjoy clean, green and cosy homes. When you join us, you’ll be placed within either our Solar or Air Source Heat Pump team to work together to sell our technology. All our leads come through our website, so you can be sure our clients are just as passionate about green energy as we are. Some of the responsibilities you could take on include: 

  • Develop and establish your sales pipeline with customers – from lead through to delivery and accomplish sales & orders in line with our KPIs  
  • Explain the benefits of Low Carbon Technologies, Solar and Air Source Heat Pump systems and Octopus Energy as a provider 
  • Provide excellent customer service through the sales process and record customer feedback in our Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)  
  • Collaborate with the technical design teams to develop Solar or Air Source Heat Pump plans and make sure their unique solution is perfect for the customer 
  • Be a real advocate for the technology that we are excited to launch across the UK and beyond!  


Who you are
We’re looking for people who are early on in their sales career, passionate about the mission Octopus is on and want to grow their career with us. We would love for you to have a proven track record of excellent customer experience with excellent listening skills and confidence when dealing with customers over the phone in a B2C capacity. Other qualities we’d love to see include: 

  • A love of the buzz you get when exceeding targets and being rewarded with regular incentives and great commission structures 
  • A solution focused approach and positive outlook, especially when overcoming objections  
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time and workload effectively  
  • A love of dynamic and active office environments, being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business 
  • A desire to work within sales and grow your career is a must – we are excited about the future and want you to be too!
